Mission Statement:

The purpose of Upper Valley Reptile Group is to provide education to students, parents, and the general public about some of the world's most fascinating creatures. By offering a unique, up-close and personal, hands-on experience with live animals, we hope to help spread conservation interest for both native and foreign wild reptile species.

The exotic pet trade is one the fastest growing phenomenons of it's kind, filled with misinformation and changes in laws and regulations happening all over the country. By offering a local resource for people with questions about these wonderful creatures we hope to break common misconceptions, and educate the public on the proper care and upkeep of these unique pets.

The individuals involved in the Upper Valley Reptile Group are serious about their passion and commitment to the world of reptile keeping, wildlife conservation, and the world that both animals and people share. Enthusiasts from all over Vermont and New Hampshire have come together to help make this program what it is today. We want everyone to know that every little bit helps and anyone can make a difference to the things that matter and the world we love.
From the founder of UVRG,

I started this idea out of my home as a way to bring local reptile keepers together. While moving around the Vermont and New Hampshire region I realized that there were many others like me that shared this same interest. I found that there was an incresing need for something to bring us together, so I formed UVRG in hopes that it will be a great resource for hobbyists and herpetologists to share their interests. While the group is still in its beginning stages, I hope that it will continue to grow as others spread the word.
