The following are the general policies adopted by Upper Valley Reptile Group.

General Policies
    -The transportation and delivery or pickup of any animal being surrendered to, or adopted out by Upper Valley Reptile Group (UVRG) reserves the right to charge a fee for travel by agents or employees of UVRG from the central operating location of the organization.
    -Upper Valley Reptile Group is licensed to take in and adopt out all non-native exotic reptiles and amphibians except the following: Any Venomous reptiles and amphibians, and subject to authorization by local wildlife authorities any alligators or crocodiles (including caimans). Additionally, we will not take in any threatened native species or NH native species in numbers that exceed the allowed legal limit for private possession.
    -Any quotes made by UVRG for habitat consultation, building of enclosure, or supplies may be subject to changes based on market value of supplies or equipment.
Miscellaneous fees/charges
Travel/Delivery Fee ------------------------------------------------------$20per ½ hour travel
Consultation/Training/Habitat quote -------------------------------$50 plus travel fee

EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS
Educational exhibits ARE available. Programs are customized based on the audience and experience requested. We have not yet formed a pricing layout for educational exhibits, however if you are interested in hosting us for a show please email for more information. For educational institutions (such as schools, universities, etc) a $20 fee per half hour of travel will apply additional to the program pricing.

Adoption Policies
    -All persons interested in adopting an animal from Upper Valley Reptile Group will be required to complete an application which will be subject to approval by a member of the organization.
    -Upon approval of the application and during transfer of ownership of the animal, the new adopting owner shall be required to complete a contract outlining the terms of adoption.
    -A fee will be charged for the adoption of any animal through UVRG. These fees help to cover veterinary costs & the care of any animals within the rescue.
    -UVRG reserves the right to change any fee based on the conditions of the adoption or other factors pertaining to the animal or individuals involved.

Adoption Fees These are average fees for standard species ONLY. We reserve the right to change the fee based on the conditions of the adoption, rarity of species or color morph, or other unlisted factors. All animals come with care sheet & letter of veterinary reference documenting the animals’ health. All adoptions will require an application & approval.

Small Reptile/Amphibian --------------------------------------------------------------------$25

            Corn snakes, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, aquatic turtles.
Intermediate Reptiles --------------------------------------------------------------------------$75
            Ball pythons, iguanas, land turtles.
Advanced Reptiles ------------------------------------------------------------------------------$100          
            Dwarf monitor species, tegus, small tortoises, young boa constrictors.
Expert Reptiles ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------$150
            Adult Boa constrictors, Burmese pythons (and any of the other "big 6" constrictor species)
            Large Monitor lizards, large tortoise species.

Surrender policies:
    -UVRG strives to provide a sanctuary for abandoned and unwanted reptiles and amphibians. It shall be our policy to consider and accept any animal presented to us provided that local laws allow it, and there is sufficient room and resources for the care of that animal.
    -UVRG requests that owners donate whatever supplies/enclosures/equipment they have with the animal they are surrendering to aid in the housing of that animal or others within the organization.
    -A negotiable fee will be requested with all surrenders unless it is found that the surrendering owners are in significant financial hardship & unable to meet the minimum fees.
    -All surrendering owners will be required to complete a contract relinquishing any rights of possession or ownership over to UVRG and its agents.
    -Any person possessing an animal found to be of a controlled or restricted species may be reported to the local law enforcement agency in charge of that department prior to surrender of the animal. UVRG is willing to work with both owners and wildlife officials to provide adequate care for the animal until an appropriate course of action for that animal is met.

Surrender Fees
All fees subject to change based on conditions of surrender.

Small-Medium Reptile/Amphibian ---------------------------------------------------------$25
(Anoles, house geckos, corn snakes, milk snakes, spiny lizards, amphibians, Bearded dragons, plated lizards, geckos, ball pythons, juvenile boas, iguanas, aquatic turtles, etc.)
Large Reptiles --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------$50
(Large monitor lizards, large DOCILE constrictor snakes such as adult boas, Burmese pythons)
Dangerous/Agressive Reptiles ---------------------------------------------------------------$100
This shall include any of the "big 6" constrictor snake species which display obvious aggressive behavior, Aggressive crocodillians, Aggressive monitor or other lizard species over 4-feet in length, or any animal which poses an unusual amount of risk of injury to UVRG staff at the time of retrieval of the animal.
